The Hong Kong "60th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China" Souvenir Sheet shown above was issued on 1 October 2009. The design of the six stamps are Victoria Harbour and Tiananmen Square depicted on two interlocking cogwheels ($1.40), the five-star national flag flying by the side of the "Forever Blooming Bauhinia" ($1.80), the Bird's Nest ($2.40), the successful launch of China's manned spacecraft Shenzhou-7 ($2.50), the Temple of Heaven against the backdrop of an illuminated globe ($3) and a golden dragon soaring above the Great Wall ($5). The six stamps also fit into a perfect ring on the souvenir sheet with the accompanying number "6", bringing out the theme of the 60th anniversary.

Hong Kong 2011 Centenary of Xinhai Revolution Stamp Sheetlet





The Hong Kong "Centenary of Xinhai Revolution" FDC and Stamp Sheetlet shown above was issued on 10 October 2011. The stamp sheetlet adopts a newspaper layout design. The stamp on the right gives an account of Dr Sun Yat-sen's election as president of the Tongmenghui and his proclamation in Min Bao (People's Journal) of the Three Principles of the People, namely "Nationalism, Democracy and People's Livelihood". The stamp on the left shows the Central School (present-day Queen's College) in Hong Kong where Dr Sun was educated in his late teens.
